hi im a 23 yr old male i live in NY. back in 2006 i moved to florida and it didnt work out, a year after i moved i was evicted from my apt and i drove back home to NY with a car i was financing from a buy here pay here dealership in florida. i couldnt afford the payments on it and they hired somebody here to reposses it.

my question is how does this eviction affect my credit? becuase i moved to a diff state can it still look bad? can they still make a judement against me althought i moved out of state?

and my car repossession…i havnt recieved a notice in almost a year about money that i owe, do i still owe this money? can they make a judgment against me even though i moved out of state?

i have a wonderful gf and i have never told her about this. i would like to marry her someday and im afraid that my credit will not allow me to buy a house and all that good stuff that married people do? does anybody out there have advice???

The number of U.S. households faced with losing their homes to foreclosure jumped 32 percent in April compared with the same month last year, with Nevada, Florida and California showing the highest rates, according to data released Wednesday. Ohio was in the top 10…………”We’ve never seen two consecutive months like this,” said Rick Sharga, RealtyTrac’s senior vice president for marketing. “It’s the volume that’s surprising.”

While total foreclosure activity was up, the number of repossessions by banks was down on a monthly and annual basis to their lowest level since March of last year, RealtyTrac said.

But that’s far from positive news. Because much of the foreclosure activity in April was in the default and auction stages — the first parts of the foreclosure process — it’s likely that repossessions will increase in coming months, RealtyTrac said.

Like alot of people right now, my family has hit really hard times, my husband’s business lost all work, we’re both working now but with very limited income. We have tried to make thngs right with our creditors, we’ve sold our house, and are thankfully walking away with some money, but cannot afford to pay the rest of our outstanding debt off. We have some repossessions (business related in his name) against us, medical bills, credit debt, etc. We need a place to live, and looking at houses that are less expensive than our old one, between $40,000 to $115,000, but wondering what are our options, if any, if we could pay down $15,000-$20,000? Due to our outstanding enormous debt, we’ll more than likely have to file bankruptcy anyway. The money we will get from the sale of our house is absolutely all we have, and we’re also looking into renting, and possibly moving in with relatives. We are a family of four, with 2 small children and pets, so it’s hard infringing on someone else’s home, I’m consumed with worry and can’t see what’s ahead. Any info about credit and what is an option for us would be much appreciated, thank you.

My friends property he had in the garage of the house was taken by the company doing the foreclosure. The house was foreclosed on and they took all of his property, car, sound equipment, dryer… that was in the garage of his house that they foreclosed on. what are the laws regarding the property. Are they not supposed to put it in storage for a period? Where do I find the law?

My brother rented a house and It went on foreclosure, now he is in the redemption period. Can someone tell me how long is the redemption period in Texas. Thanks

It is a mortgage foreclosure, the house did not sell the auction day, so it went back to the bank and now is in the REO department.
How long do the tenants have untill they are evicted?

I bid on a house in foreclosure through my agent, now he’s coming back to me asking what the maximum amount I will be willing to bid…. (the house has been on the market for over 100 days.) Is this agent trying to get me to pay more money, even though he should be trying to save me money?
