I heard that if you offer them the car keys they might waive it, not sure if true. I’m in California. Thanks for your help.

The District Court Judgement ordered the tenants to pay
the back-rent within 7 days.
They haven’t done so.
The judgement didn’t clarify the exact amount the tenants are to pay.
I have filed a motion to clarify. Will this do? I plan to bring up how the tenants haven’t paid anything. And also to tell the judge to indicate the exact amount owed by the tenants on the judgement.
Will the judge hear how the tenants haven’t paid anything or will the judge say that its irrelevant to the motion to clarify?

If the judgment ordered them to pay the ‘back rent’, then THAT is the amount specified and no further clarification is necessary.
The next motion should be eviction.

I co signed a loan for a Semi Truck for my husband. I we had no choice but to voluntarily repossess it. It was repossessed in late Sept. We are just know getting a loan to pay it off. We never stopped paying into it and never went to court. We applied for the loan and they said it’s not on either one of our credit scores! Can they still put a repo. on our credit?

The creditor can decide to report the default at any time within the 7 year reporting period.

You cannot compel a lender to report your payment history to credit bureaus. You can only request.

I want to buy a house soon, but I have that on my credit report. I have purchased a new card since then, but Im not sure if I will get a mortgage with that on my credit. Will I be able to obtain a a mortgage with a voluntary repo on my credit. I never paid them late. I gave the car back because my engine stopped working in less than a year and the dealership would not fix it. I don’t know what to do.

Yes it will fall off your credit after 7 years. If everything else about your credit is stellar you might still be able to get a mortgage but that car is going to drag your score down. A lower score means you’re not going to get a great interest rate. It might be better for you to wait.

The finance company requested that I send them proof of insurance and my last two pay stubs. and they said it will go in front of a review board. Do they call the insurance company to verify. This is all new…Please help.

Yeah, there are companies out there that will give anyone a loan for a used car. One of you has to be working and unfortunately it won’t be for the best rate.
