Q&A: I am purchasing property in Gurgon/Delhi/NCR; how much should a lawyer charge to provide legal assistance?

Question by Fazilka: I am purchasing property in Gurgon/Delhi/NCR; how much should a lawyer charge to provide legal assistance?
I realize one can purchase property without a lawyer’s assistance. But I have moved here from abroad and would like to be safe and have legal assistance. We haven’t finalized on ‘new development’ vs. ‘resale’, so I’m interested in finding out the answer for both cases. I’m specifically looking for legal assistance for reviewing all documents, helping with registration, etc. I’d like to get a general idea of rates for a professional lawyer for this type of assistance. Thanks!
