BRUSSELS &#8211; When Maggie Hughes heard that her son Robbie was beaten into a coma while vacationing on the Greek island of Crete, he&#8217;d already been in a hospital about 10 hours. The news didn&#8217;t come from police, hospital officials or the British Embassy, but from a friend who called Robbie&#8217;s girlfriend who then called Hughes.<br />
